A final thank-you: Moving on as the Bernina Lady
The tides are changing and with this blog post comes a lot of important news. I invite you to read a few
important updates, as this will be my final blog post. It’s with great sadness that I say I am moving on as
the Bernina Lady.
Earlier this month I was given some life-changing news about my health. While I prefer not to go into
great detail about it all, I will say this decision has been difficult to make and I will miss you all. From
now onward, I will be focusing on time with my family and close friends and I’d like to thank all of you for
your support along the way.
The road ahead is long and winding, and I unfortunately won’t have the time or energy to devote to
Bernina Lady. My family and loved ones are where I will henceforth be directing my energy and I would
like to thank you all for your understanding.
So where does that leave everything? Here’s an overview:
Store fronts and buying from Bernina: Bernina Canada is actively seeking store front operations
through the Maritimes (Nova Scotia, PEI and New Brunswick).
Presently there is a dealer in Cape Breton (Quilting on the Mira), Woodstock NB (Christmas Crab), and
another to be opening in Moncton soon. In order for Bernina dealers to remain on the east coast and
do well, I strongly encourage you to support your new Dealers. Your support allows them to bring
Bernina products to you and ensure you have both high-quality products and service available for you
for now and into the future.
Classes: It’s with sadness that I say I am unable to offer classes anymore. I invite you to submit any
quick questions to me by email at theberninalady@yahoo.ca but I otherwise will not be available to
teach or offer guidance and advice.
Shows & Service: I won’t be able to do any shows for the remainder of the year. Please contact your
local storefronts (listed above) with any questions regarding Bernina products and services.
Warranties: Bernina Canada will be honoring your warranty so please contact your local dealer for
warranty issues.
Inventory for sale: I currently have several demonstrators and inventory on-hand that are available
for purchase. They are:
* A Bernina 820 (1)
* Bernina 730 with suitcase system (1)
* Bernina Aurora 44o Quilter’s Edition (1 brand new)
* Bernina Activa 210 (1)
* Bernina Bernette 92c (1)
* Bernina 1300 MTC Serger (1)
All demo machines come with the remainder of the Bernina warranty and I will do my very best to
provide some basic instruction to get you on your way and familiar with the machine. If you’re
interested in one of these machines, you can also purchase it and I can introduce you to a local dealer
who you can then seek advice, service, parts and accessories from.
All my demonstrators have low usage hours and are available on a first-come basis. Inventory on-
hand includes the most common feet (new and old style) needles and other accessories. These are
available at a 30% discount. New owner discounts will not be included on top of the reduced price.
