The following samples were stitched using either the Aurora 440 Quilter’s Edition,
Artista 640 or 200/730 but could be stitched on most machines without embroidery.
Embroidery was stitched on Aurora 440 QEE, 640E or 200E/730E.  Embroidery
could be done on machines from Aurora 430E and up.

Embroidered Lace by Machine
This design is included in the designs that come with the 200E or 730E.  You
can stitch lace by machine using bridal tulle or a water soluble stabilizer.

Fun With Bears
Each CD that you purchase from Bernina comes with a Project Idea.  This idea
came from Fun with Bears CD by Mary Ann June.

Fun with The Bernina Stitch Regulator
The Bernina Stitch Regulator for the Artista machines regulates stitches not only
in straight stitch but for zig zag stitches as well.  This was a fun little project that
used many different threads and couching techniques.

Colourful Jacket
Inspiration for this Jacket came from a magazine. It was strip pieced on muslin.
Embroideries by Laurel Burch were inserted. Many of the fabrics used came
from the Laurel Burch “Flying Colours” line. She also designed a CD of
embroideries to accompany this fabric.

Miss Diva
Pattern is called Quilt Diva by Amy Bradley Designs.  She could very well be a
self-portrait.  Her curly hair, cleavage, tummy, sloppy socks and shoes all speak
to The Bernina Lady.  She was just a hoot to stitch.  She is all machine quilted
and machine embellished.  This poor soul wants to get to Bernina University so
badly.

Quilted Slouch Bag
This pattern came from the Bernina Publication “Through the Needle”.  It was
machine quilted and there are lots of pockets in it.

Ready for Class
With your machine quilted vest and your chatelaine you are already for class.

Sashiko by Machine
This project was done with the mock hand quilting stitch on the machine.  Any
Bernina from the Activa 220 up has this machine built in.  The stitches you are
seeing are actually from the bobbin thread.  Some older machines have a built
in quilt stitch as well.

Sawtooth Star
This project came from another Bernina CD.  Delicate Stitch Quilting Designs by
Sharon Schamber.  It was very easy and quick.

Spread Your Creative Wings
This little project was done when the new Artista 630, 640 and 730 were
launched.  Machine embroidery, beadwork by hand, couching and some thread
painting are illustrated.  This shows off the Bernina Stitch Regulator with
straight stitch and zig zag.

Stained Glass by Machine
Gone on the days when you have to sew down your bias tape by hand.  The
mock hand appliqué stitch was used to apply the “leading”.  This technique is a
specialty of The Bernina Lady.

Star Log Cabin
This quilt is featured in the book “Seasons of Artistry” that comes with the
Bernina 730E machine.  It was completely machine pieced, quilted and
embroidered by machine.  Note the use of metallic thread when stippling.

Winter Wonderland
This quilt was inspired by a pattern in Quilt Sampler.  Many common piecing
techniques are used in this quilt.  The polar bears are free motion quilted.
Textures on the mountains were added by using the Bernina Stitch Regulator in
the zig zag mode.  Note the use of metallic threads (holographic) in this piece.
